* Sri Lanka Postal Service promotes country's tourism

Sept 07, Colombo: Sri Lanka Post has stepped into boost the tourism industry in the country by issuing seven new stamps and a first day cover that promote Sri Lanka's attractions.

Minister of Post and Telecommunication Jeewan Kumaratunga presented the first stamp and the first day cover to President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Temple Trees today.

Deputy Minister of Post and Telecommunication Duminda Dissanayake was also present at the occasion.
