July 30, Colombo: An armed mob of about 15 have attacked a private TV and radio station in Sri Lankan capital Colombo.
The early morning petrol bomb attack on the 'Siyatha' media office at Union Place in Colombo has injured two employees according to local media reports.
The gang has reportedly thrown petrol bombs into the building and set the studios on fire.
Siyatha Radio and Siyatha TV broadcasting in Sinhala, the English-language Real FM and Tamil-language Vettri FM have been affected by the attack.
The police have deployed several teams to investigate the attack.
