July 28, Colombo: Sri Lankan bowlers have slowed India's strong start today on Day 3 of the second Test at the SSC grounds in Colombo.

In reply to Sri Lanka's declared mammoth total of 642/4 in the first innings India's openers Virender Shewag and Murali Vijay enjoyed a 167 run partnership in 37 overs until Suraj Randiv stopped Shewag just one run shy of a century.

A googly by Ajantha Mendis sent Vijay back for 58 while Rahul Dravid fell victim to Randiv in 3 short runs.
