Aug 28, Colombo: Sri Lankan Expatriates in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) presented a cheque for Rs.3.9 million to President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees Friday (August 27) for the Api Wenuwen Api Fund.

The expatriates have collected the proceeds of the 'Ranawiru Gee Sendewa' concert organized by them with the assistance of Sri Lanka Embassy and Counsel General Office in UAE recently.

Parliamentarian Ven.Bengamuwe Nalaka thera, handed over the cheque to the President. Former Ambassador in UAE Janaka Bandara was also present.
