Aug 21, Colombo: The second court martial against former Sri Lanka Army Commander Sarath Fonseka to inquire into alleged irregularities in military procurements during his tenure as Army Chief was convened today (21).

The fourth witness of the second court martial, Director of Public Finance of the Ministry of Finance gave evidence to the Court Martial today.

The witness was cross examined by the defence counsel.

Military Spokesman Major General Ubaya Medawela said the second Court Martial will call the next witness when it resumes sittings at 2 p.m. on August 23.

The first court martial concluded on August 13 found Fonseka guilty of engaging in political work while in active service.
