Aug 19, Dambulla: The 4th match of the triangular ODI series between Sri Lanka and New Zealand at the Dambulla International Stadium was abandoned today due to pouring rain.
New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat but the match was abandoned before bowling a single ball.
The match will be held tomorrow, on the reserve day, at the same venue and it will be a new toss.
New Zealand, India, and Sri Lanka each have won once after two matches but the hosts are at the bottom of the point table as both New Zealand and India have secured a bonus point each.
Each side is scheduled to play against the other two and the top two teams in the point table will be qualified for the final on August 28.
