Sri Lanka's Marxist politician to be questioned by CID over conspiracy against the state

Mar 21, Colombo: Sri Lanka's Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is to question frontliner of the Democratic National Alliance (DNA) and parliamentary group leader of the Marxist JVP, Anura Kumara Dissanayake on March 23 and 24.
Dissanayake is to be questioned by the CID on his alleged involvement in a conspiracy against the state.
The JVP MP alleged that the move to question him by the CID is to suppress the activities of the opposition prior to the April 8 general election.
The DNA is led by former Army Commander Retired General Sarath Fonseka, who is currently in military custody.
Meanwhile, General Fonseka's wife, Anoma Fonseka is to be questioned by the CID this evening.
