Sri Lanka's largest retirement fund buys shares in the leisure sector

Mar 19, Colombo: Sri Lanka's government managed Employees Provident Fund (EPF) for private sector employees had bought a 10 percent stake in Lighthouse Hotel.
According to Sri Lanka's NDB stockbrokers the EPF, the country's largest retirement fund, had bought 4.6 million shares of Lighthouse Hotel, which is a unit of the Jetwing leisure group.
The hotel is part owned by Sri Lanka's Hayleys Group and was initiated as part of a joint thrust into the leisure sector.
