* President pays homage to historic Mahiyangana Temple

Mar 13, Mahiyangana: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa paid homage to the historic Mahiyangana Raja Maha Viharaya in Mahiyangana of Uva Province this morning (13).

During the visit, the President observed religious rituals and received the blessings from the Chief Incumbent of the Temple Ven. Sri Dhammasiddhi Dhammananda Thero.

President Rajapaksa also had some time to greet the devotees to the Temple. He was accompanied by Uva Provincial Minister Anura Vidanagamage, and UPFA candidate Thenuka Vidanagamage.
