Conference to educate Sri Lankan work force on President's plans

Mar 11, Colombo: Sri Lankan government has organized a conference to educate the country's work force on the President Mahinda Rajapaksa's Mahinda Chinthana Idiri Dekma development plan.
The conference will be held tomorrow at the Sugathadasa indoor stadium in Colombo under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The speakers will include Presidential Secretary Lalith Weerathunge and Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal. A large number of Ministers, former MPs and trade union representatives will attend this conference.
The development envisioned under the Mahinda Chinthana Idiri Dekma is mainly focused on bringing the rural sector to be on par with other sectors and to accelerate the annual growth rate of the economy between seven to eight percent in the next year and after.
