Sri Lanka main opposition to release its election manifesto

Mar 10, Colombo: United national Front (UNF), Sri Lanka's main opposition alliance contesting the upcoming parliamentary election in April is to release its election manifesto next week.
The General Secretary of the main constituent United National Party (UNP), Tissa Attanayake announced that the party manifesto will be officially released at a special ceremony in Colombo.
Measures will be taken to ensure that every household gets a copy of the manifesto, he added.
The UNP has re-launched its website www.unp.lk with a new look today. According to an announcement on the website, the new outlook aims to present it in "best format and in the most palatable form for viewers while keeping abreast of the changes and trends in the sphere of information technology and dissemination of news,"
Meanwhile, the opposition leader Ranil Wickremasinghe will be officially launching his website www.ranil-wickremesinghe.com today (10) at the Vihara Maha Devi Open Air theatre at 3.00 p.m.
