Mar 05, Colombo: The German police have arrested six Tamil Tiger separatists suspected of raising funds for the banned LTTE terrorist organization.
The federal prosecution agency of Germany said Friday that the police have arrested 3 German nationals and three Sri Lankans aged between 22 and 58 on Wednesday.
The suspects were arrested during raids on eight premises including the Tamil Coordination Committee (TCC) in Oberhausen in Essen. One of the suspects, V. S Vijikanendra (34) is reportedly the leader of the TCC.
The federal prosecutors allege that the TCC raises money for the LTTE, all the leaders of which were decimated in the war with the Sri Lankan security forces.
