* Sri Lanka court further detains 14 ex-LTTE cadres

Mar 01, Colombo: A Sri Lankan court has allowed the further detention of 14 former LTTE cadres who were arrested from welfare camps for investigation.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Champa Janaki Rajaratne has permitted the Criminal Investigation Department to further detain the 14 suspects for 90 days.

The 14 suspects believed to be hardcore LTTE cadres are being investigated for their involvement in suicide bombings carried out in Sri Lanka capital and its suburbs.

The CID informed the Courts that information on their involvement in terrorist activities has been surfaced.
