* Domestic gas prices may go up in Sri Lanka

Mar 01, Colombo: The price of a domestic gas cylinder is to be taken up for revision today on the request of gas companies.

Minister of Trade and Consumer Affairs Bandula Gunawardena said the two main gas companies had requested a price hike with Shell Gas Company asking for a price hike of Rs. 280 for 12.5 kg gas cylinder. Laugfs Company asked for a price hike of Rs. 84.

The Minister said he had refused huge increments but a reasonable hike can be expected.
