Global Marketing Network to lunch operations in Sri Lanka

Jan 29, Colombo: Global Marketing Network (GMN), the worldwide professional membership association for marketing and business professionals announced that it will launch its operations in Sri Lanka in May.
The GMN announced that operations of GMN Sri Lanka will be launched at an event to be hosted by the British High Commissioner in Sri Lanka, Dr Peter Hayes, at his official residence on 25th May 2010.
GMN Sri Lanka will hold its inaugural conference in Colombo, World Marketing Forum 2010, on 26th May.
The Forum is designed to provide marketing and business professionals with the most current knowledge, ideas with inspiration needed to help them capitalize on the new opportunities in today's global business environment, the association said.
Announcing the event, GMN's Sri Lanka Country Director, Dr Ranjan Madanayake said that peace has returned to the country after 30 years of conflict and this has heralded a new era and a new Sri Lanka.
"It can now be 'Paradise Regained' for us and we need to utilize this opportunity for commercial and economic welfare of the nation. What Global Marketing Network brings with its global perspective is invaluable and there will be much for our marketers to achieve through being a member," he said.
