Sri Lanka Navy brings home another batch of fishermen released from India

Feb 27, Kankasanthurai: Sri Lanka Navy brought home today another batch of Sri Lankan fishermen released from Indian custody.
Indian Coast Guard Ship "Ganga Devi" has handed over 22 fishermen and four fishing vessels to the naval officials at the Indo-Sri Lanka International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) in the seas north of Kankasanthurai.
The Sri Lanka Naval Ship "Weeraya" brought the fishermen to the harbor and authorities provided food and required assistance to the fishermen.
The fishermen who have ventured into the Indian waters were residents of Dondra and Mirrissa. Arrangements have been made to return them to their homes, the Navy said.
The Navy on Wednesday (24) brought 22 Sri Lankan fishermen released from Indian custody to the Kankasanthurai harbor.
