Australia's Special Representative calls on Sri Lanka President

Feb 24, Colombo: John McCarthy, the Special Representative of Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd today paid a courtesy call on Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Temple Trees.
The President and the Australian envoy had discussions on economic assistance, prevention of illegal migration of Sri Lankans and the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Australia's High Commissioner in Colombo Kathy Klugman, Deputy High Commissioner Ms. Sophia McIntyre, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ministry Romesh Jayasinghe, Additional Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ministry W.M. Senevirathna and Director of Foreign Affairs Ministry Ms. Shanika Dissanayake, were also present.
