Feb 04, Colombo: Director General of the Government Information Department Anusha Palpita has been appointed as the Director General of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (HRC) President's Secretary Lalith Weeratunga informed.
The post was left vacant by the resignation of Priyantha Kariyapperuma on Tuesday.
There was no word yet on whether he will hold both posts at the Government Information Department and the Telecom Regulatory Commission.
Anusha Palpita holds a B. Com. Degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He also possesses an MBA and Master on Professional Accounting from the University of Victoria in Melbourne.
