* Navy brings home Sri Lankan fishermen released from Indian custody

Apr 26, Colombo: Sri Lanka Navy escorted 24 Sri Lankan fishermen home after they have been released by Indian authorities last week.

Indian Coast Guard Ship "Ranijindan" handed over the fishermen and five fishing trawlers to the Sri Lankan Navy personnel at the Indo-Sri Lanka International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) in the seas north of Kankasanthurai.

Naval authorities had brought the fishermen who from Devinuwara, Nilwella and Trincomalee areas to the Kankasanthurai harbor.

The authorities have made arrangements for the fishermen to return to their homes.
