Sri Lanka Army delivers uncovered LTTE medical equipment to Mullaitivu hospital

Apr 21, Mullaitivu: Sri Lanka Army recently handed back a massive stock of medical equipment and accessories kept by the LTTE to the newly-opened Mullaitivu General Hospital.
The Army had recovered the medical stock, worth more than Rs. 15 million during the Wanni humanitarian operations last year and kept safely until the delivery to the hospital.
The stock, comprising twenty wheel chairs, complete sets of usable anesthesia injections, operating tables, trolleys, surgical equipment, sterilizers, surgical beds, etc., was officially handed over to Dr A.E. Gnanajothi, Provincial Director, Medical Services at the Mullaitivu General Hospital by Security Forces Commander Major General Athula Jayawardena at a ceremony held recently.
