Japan offers higher education scholarships to 14 Sri Lankan students

Apr 18, Colombo: The Government of Japan has awarded higher education scholarships to fourteen Sri Lankan students under its Monbukagakusho Scholarship Scheme 2010, the Japanese Embassy announced on Friday.
The candidates for the scholarships have been selected through an examination and interview conducted jointly by the Japanese Embassy and Sri Lanka Ministry of Higher Education.
These scholarships have been awarded under the categories of post graduate, undergraduate and college of technology.
The Government of Japan provides international students around the world with an opportunity of pursuing higher studies in Japanese universities and colleges under the Monbukagakusho scholarship scheme annually.
Applications for the 2011 scholarships have been announced and interested students should contact the Japanese Embassy for deadline and application information.
