Reportedly there was not much interest among the state workers to cast postal votes in Southern Province during the day. The voting will conclude tomorrow.
"The individuals, who are unable to cast their postal votes either today or tomorrow, can do so on another day, after discussions with the relevant certifying officers," said W.P Sumansiri, Additional Election Commissioner.
A total of 31,158 individuals are eligible to cast their postal votes for the Southern Provincial Council Poll.
A special security plan has also been implemented for the process of casting of postal votes in these three districts.
