Sept 14, Colombo: A Sri Lanka Navy intelligence team acting on information received, has recovered a large stash of LTTE documents on Saturday (12) from Illangathurai area of Kadiraweli in Trincomalee District of the Eastern region.
The documents, bound into 25 parcels and wrapped in polythene bags, were found buried at the location.
The Navy said the preliminary investigations have revealed these documents are of highly secretive nature relating to LTTE activities.
Further investigations are continuing.
