* Sri Lanka President meets Nepali leaders

Oct 31, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is visiting Nepal met Nepali leaders in Kathmandu on Friday.

President Rajapaksa met his Nepali counterpart President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav at Shitwal Niwas on Friday and held discussions on bilateral corporation in several areas. President invited Dr. Yadav to visit Sri Lanka at a convenient time.

Earlier in the day, President Rajapaksa held meetings with Nepal's Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala.

President Rajapaksa will be on a private visit today to Tirupathi in India to attend a darshan of Lord Venkateswara, Indian media reported. According to temple sources the President is scheduled to land at Tirupati airport at 11.00 a.m. He will directly go to Tirumala for the darshan, and return to Sri Lanka in the evening.
