* Elephants clash in Sri Lanka Zoo

Oct 30, Colombo: The elephants’ stable at the National Zoological Gardens in Dehiwala has been restricted to visitors this afternoon due to the unruly behavior of an elephant.

The Deputy Director of the National Zoological Gardens Ms.Dhammika Malsinghe said a 60-year-old elephant named Bandula went out of control inside the elephants' stable due to an unexpected change of the elephant's period of musk secretion.

The elephant stable has been temporarily closed for visitors as a safety measure.

Another elephant, named Hu has also been hurt due to the unruly behavior of elephant Bandula, the Deputy Director added.
