* Haul of Claymore mines found from Vavuniya in Northern Sri Lanka

Oct 28, Colombo: Sri Lanka Police have recovered a haul of Claymore mines and several other explosives believed to be hidden by the LTTE from Vavuniya last night.

The Police spokesman Senior Deputy Inspector General Nimal Mediwaka said the Vavuniya intelligence unit has recovered those explosives and weapons from Kalamullavikkal area on a tip given by a LTTE suspect who is in custody at the moment.

Ten claymore mines, sixteen T56 weapons, two pressure mines weighing over 15 kilo grams, 49 RPG shells and 330 RPG charges has been recovered by the Vavuniya Intelligence unit.
