Nov 30, Colombo: Mother Sri Lanka Foundation, an organization initiated by the President's Office to encourage and inspire the citizens to empower the country inaugurated its program in the Northern Province.
The first meeting of the Foundation was held in Vavuniya today with the participation of the Director of Mother Sri Lanka Foundation, the Coordinator from Ministry of Education, officials from provincial ministries and departments.
During the discussion, the organizers explained the objective of the programme and selected schools and zones for the competition.
The Mother Sri Lanka Program, launched in January this year to promote activities for positive change, calls on Sri Lankans of all communities, religions, ethnicities, ages, gender and political persuasions to commit to make a change and restore pride and honor in Sri Lanka.
The Program has leadership and direction from the President's Office and support from corporate sponsors.
