* Carlton 7's Rugby players meet Sri Lanka President

Nov 29, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa greeted the players of the Carlton 7's Rugby Tournament 2009 at Temple Trees on Thursday evening.

The chief organizer of the tournament Namal Rajapaksa introduced the players to the President and First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa. Sports Minister Gamini Lokuge was also present at the event.

The sixth and final leg of the Asian Sevens rugby series organized jointly by the Tharunyata Hetak Foundation and the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) titled 'Carlton Sevens' is held from November 27 -29 at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Asian rugby playing nations Japan, South Korea Kazakhstan, Chinese Taipei, China, Thailand, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka will be competing in the tournament
