According to the Government Media Unit, Minister Gunatileka resigned from his portfolio as the Minister of Tourism earlier yesterday.
Ratnapura District parliamentarian Achala Suranga Jagodage was sworn in yesterday as the new Minister of Tourism.
Gunatilaka, the Kalutara District parliamentarian accepted the Tourism Minister portfolio in June 2009.
Secretary to the President Lalith Weerathunge was also present at the occasion.

Nov 27, Colombo: Former Tourism Minister Parliamentarian Nandana Gunatileka was sworn in as the acting Minster of Posts and Telecommunications before President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday (26), the government announced.
