Growing interest from UK companies for ICT business in Sri Lanka

Nov 25, Colombo: Six Sri Lankan ICT companies participated in the UK's largest 'speed meeting', TechnologyWorld 2009 event held in Coventry, UK on the 23-24 November.
Aranxa Software, Dinota Information Technologies, Senid Mobile Solutions, Orion Management Consortium, Sabre Technologies and Talliance participated in the event representing the ICT industry in Sri Lanka.
British High Commission, Head of Trade & Investment, Janet Ford said the event allows Sri Lankan ICT companies to meet with a large number of UK companies that are interested in collaborating in innovation and expanding their businesses globally.
"With the end of the conflict there is substantial potential for Sri Lankan companies to attract partners from the UK - particularly in the ICT sector," Ms. Ford said noting that there is a growing interest from UK companies in doing business in Sri Lanka.
The TechnologyWorld09 event provides a highly effective platform for over 500 companies to identify and build new international business and partnership opportunities.
