President participates in educational events
President Rajapaksa was the chief guest at the annual Price giving of Swarnapali Balika Vidayalaya in Anuradhapura. School Principle Ms. Inoka Dharmasiri presented the President with a memento to mark the occasion.
North Central Province Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayake, North Central Province Governor Karunaratna Divulgane, Ministers Duminda Dissanayake, and Tissa Karaliyadda also participated.
The President also ceremoniously opened an IT Computer Training Centre at Puttalama Open University College which caters to the educational needs of the population of Puttalam and the surrounding villages.
Minister of Higher Education Prof. Wishva Warnapala, Chief Minister of North Western Province Athula Wijesinghe, Ministers K. A. Baiz, Dayasritha Thisera, and Milroy Fernando also participated.
