According to Herath, there are few persons suitable to appoint as the common candidate, but the priority goes to General Sarath Fonseka.
The main topic of the discussion to be held with General Fonseka would be the abolishing of executive presidency, he added.
MP Herath accused the government of attempting to cheat the people by reducing prices of essential food items just few months ahead of the upcoming two national polls.
