Nov 07, Colombo: Following the controversy of contaminated drug vials Sri Lanka Health Ministry has selected four new companies to import essential drugs immediately.
The Ministry sources said that they have already taken measures to ensure the quality of the drugs when they are imported.
The Health Ministry has recently suspended the four Indian drug importers of the contaminated medicine stocks. The ban on the four companies will be in effect for two years.
The Ministry has removed all the drugs imported by the suspended companies and the measures would be taken to collect the funds owed by those companies.
