The US State Department recently submitted a report titled "Report to Congress on Incidents During the Recent Conflict in Sri Lanka" to the Appropriations Committee of the US Congress.
The report, in addition to citing the atrocities committed by the Tamil Tigers, mentioned incidents alleged to have committed by the Sri Lankan security forces during the final stages of war between January and May 2009.
Sri Lankan government said the report appears to be unsubstantiated and devoid of corroborative evidence.
