Nov 06, Colombo: The W. D Amaradewa Foundation have taken steps to set up an international music centre in Colombo to deliver the invaluable experience and knowledge gained by the artist Pandith W.D Amaradewa to the next generation.
The Foundation expects to promote the Sinhala music ( Hela Kalava) among generations without harming its Sri Lankan identity.
The Ministry of Urban Development and Sacred Area Development has allocated a 30-perch land at D.M Colombage Mawatha in Kirulapone for that purpose.
