Nov 04, Colombo: A special delegation is to leave for India to discuss the issue of Sri Lankan fishermen who are currently in the Indian custody.
The Fisheries Ministry announced that they have planned to send this special delegation to India by next week.
According to the Ministry nearly 120 Sri Lankan fishermen are detained in India for illegally entering the territorial waters of the country.
Sri Lankan government has already commenced the discussions on the issue through the Indian High Commission, but has failed to finalize yet.
