Nov 03, Colombo: A trainee police officer at the Police Training School in Kaladi, Batticaloa was killed due to an explosion that took place inside the school.
Police spokesman Senior Inspector General of Police, Nimal Mediwaka said the trainee officer was killed while he was attempting to defuse a bomb this morning.
Another three trainees at the school have been injured and admitted to the hospital.
