Nov 03, Colombo: The United National Party (UNP) Puttalam district parliamentarian Palitha Range Bandara today launched a protest near the parliament over the burning of his house and office in Chilaw last month.
According to the sources, MP Range Bandara with his wife and children staged the protest along the road near the parliament this afternoon.
Speaking to the media during the protest MP Range Bandara said the police have still not been able to arrest any suspects although he has given all the details of the suspects to the police.
He stressed that he will seek the international support for this issue, especially to receive compensations for the loss incurred by him due to the fire.
An unidentified group has set fire to his house and office at Madampe in Chilaw on the night of October 4th. The MP and his family were not at the house during the fire which gutted down the premises completely.
MP Range Bandara is planning to launch another protest inside the parliament if the government fails to mete out justice as quickly as possible.
