Nov 02, Colombo: Strong winds blew across several areas in Colombo District damaged several more houses this evening.

The Disaster Management Center confirmed a gusting wind blew across Wijerama in Nugegoda and Mount Lavinia areas for about five to six minutes with a thunderous noise this evening.
Most of the houses were damaged due to falling tress, the DMC said.
Power supply too has been disrupted due to trees falling on power lines in those areas, the Disaster Management Center added.
However, there were no injuries reported due to the gusts.
