May 31, Colombo: The Minister of Justice and Law Reforms and the Galle District parliamentarian for ruling party Amarasiri Dodangoda passed away last night at the age of 67.

Family sources confirmed that Minister Dodangoda passed away at the Colombo National Hospital after a brief illness.

In the final years of his life Minister Dodangoda had to use a wheel chair for his activities due to the illness.

Hr entered in to the politics under the leadership of late Sri Lanka Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike and held several key cabinet ministerial portfolios in his political life.

The funeral date of late Minister Dodangoda is to be announced later.
