June 30, Colombo: The two main LP gas companies in Sri Lanka has revised their prices on a 12.5 kg gas cylinder with effect from midnight today.

The price of a 12.5 kg Shell gas cylinder goes down by Rs. 53 from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 1447, while the price of a Laugh gas cylinder goes up by Rs. 100 from Rs. 1307 to Rs. 1407, the government announced.

Sri Lanka's Trade, Market Development and Consumer Affairs Minister, Bandula Gunawardena said the price adjustments have been made according to the price formula adopted by the Consumer Protection Authority and the respective companies.

The current prices will remain for another two months under Rs. 1500. The gas companies decide the price adjustments depending on the world fuel prices.
