June 22, Colombo: The Ministry of Justice has taken measures to restore the Courts system in the Northern Province.

Secretary of the Justice Ministry, Suhada Gamlath told the media that under the first step of this program a high court, a magistrate court and a district court will be set up in Kilinochchi in the near future.

According to the Justice Ministry, magistrate courts will be set up in Mullaitivu, Mallakam and Chavakachcheri. The Ministry also plans to transform the tourist court in Welani into a magistrate court.

Following the establishment of the courts in the North, the necessary staff for the courts will be recruited.
