Former Japanese PM arrives in Sri Lanka

July 28, Colombo: Former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda arrived in Sri Lanka last night on an official visit.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Foreign Minister, Rohitha Bogollagama welcomed the former Japanese PM at the Katunayake Airport.
The former Japanese Prime Minister visited the most historical Sigiriya today to attend the opening ceremony of Sigiriya Museum.
Mr. Fukuda arrived in the country for a two-day visit on an invitation from the Sri Lankan government. During his visit Mr. Fukuda is expected to hold discussions with Sri Lankan officials, the Ministry added.
