Sri Lanka Cricket announces national squad for ODI series against Pakistan

July 24, Colombo: The Sri Lankan squad for the upcoming one-day international (ODI) series against Pakistan was approved by the Sports Minister this evening.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced the squad soon after the approval was granted by the Minister, once again without Chaminda Vaas who retired from the Test cricket this evening.
Injured star batsman, T.M Dilshan would also miss the first three matches of the ODI series, sources confirmed.
The Sri Lankan one day squad as follows:
Kumar Sangakkara (Capt.) Muttiah Muralitharan (Vice Capt.) Sanath Jayasuriya, Mahela Jayawardene, Thilan Samaraweera, Chamara Kapugedara, Angelo Mathews, Nuwan Kulasekera, Lasith Malinga, Ajantha Mendis, Thilina Kandamby, Malinga Bandara, Thilan Thushara, Isuru Udana, and Upul Tharanga
The five match series is to commence on July 30th with the first match playing at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.
