Jul 05, Colombo: Sri Lanka is to introduce a special transport arrangement for the public in the North and East, where a proper transport system had not been in place in the past 30 years due to the war.

Sri Lanka Transport Board said that buses will be provided to Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Jaffna, Karainagar, Point Pedro, Mannar and Vavuniya depots with immediate effect.

Steps have been also taken to repair a large number of damaged buses in these depots, authorities said.
