July 03, Colombo: Several more foreign countries have expressed their willingness to invest in the country, Minister of Investment Promotions Anura Priyadarshana Yapa said.

According to the Minister the main reason for this favorable progression is the peaceful environment as there are no more terror threats in the country.

Mainly the investors from Singapore, Thailand and China will invest in the country in near future, Minister Yapa added.

To facilitate those investors from China, Sri Lanka government has decided to establish a new Investment Promotion zone at Meerigama.

Minister Yapa pointed out that more investment opportunities in Agriculture and Tourism sectors will certainly increase in the coming months.
