* Indonesian government welcomes Sri Lanka's relief efforts

July 02, Colombo: The government of Indonesia has welcomed Sri Lankan relief effort for the Internally Displaced Persons and also the Uthuru Wasanthaya (Northern Spring) development programme, the Government Information Department today announced.

The Indonesian Foreign Minister Dr. Hassan Wirajuda has made these comments during a discussion held with Special Advisor to the President, Basil Rajapaksa who is currently visiting Indonesia.

Basil Rajapaksa has thanked the Government Indonesia for the consistent support extended to Sri Lanka concerning the human rights issues. He also expressed Sri Lanka's appreciation for the support extended by Indonesia during a special Human Rights Council Session held in Geneva recently.

According to the Government Information Department they had discussions on a wide range of issues beneficial to Sri Lanka.
