July 01, Colombo: Kumar Sangakkara, the newly appointed captain of Sri Lanka national cricket squad reached another major milestone in his personal life as his wife gave birth to twins yesterday.

Kumar Sangakkara's wife, Yehali Sangakkara gave birth to their first babies at a private hospital in Colombo yesterday, the family sources confirmed.

According to the sources she has given birth to a baby boy and a girl and both the babies and the mom are doing well.

Meanwhile Sanath Jayasuriya, the oldest active cricketer in modern cricket world celebrated his 40th birthday yesterday too.
