* Opposition has no proper policy to develop the country, Sri Lanka President says

Dec 27, Minuwangoda: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa said the opposition has not put forward a clear policy to develop the country whereas the government has submitted a very clear list of policies to create a conducive society for the future generation.

Addressing a massive election campaign rally in Minuwangoda today President Rajapaksa appealed to the public to support his government to continue its policies and requested the citizens to unite with the government to make Sri Lanka the most respect country in the world.

The President further said that his government has introduced a massive development drive to enhance the economy of the country and it has already fulfilled 95 percent of its goals stated in the Mahinda Chintanaya.

The President promised to take every measure possible to provide the relief to the public and assured that the government will never slash the subsidies given to the people despite economic pressures to do so.

Ministers Maithripala Sirisena and Patali Champika Ranawaka, artist Ravindra Randeniya also addressed the rally.
