Always country before self, Sri Lanka President says

Dec 08, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa today said that he always put the country before himself and he is committed to render justice to the country and its people.
Addressing a gathering at the Temple Trees today to recognize the members of conciliatory boards, the President said his government has created a multi-party cabinet that works in cooperation and has moved away from partisan politics.
President Rajapaksa assured that his government will take every necessary measure to create a just society at all cost. The political vision he believed would help him to overcome any challenges and threats, he said.
The President urged all the people in the country to unite in brotherhood to make a better future for the country.
President Rajapaksa presented a certificate of honor to Ven. Welamitiyawe Kusaladamma thero at the occasion.
Ministers GL Peiris, Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Nirmala Kotelawala and Deputy Minister V.Putrasigamany also participated in the occasion.
